Providing Marketing Solutions and Resources for Hair Restoration Clinics

Hair Loss Marketing is a subsidiary marketing agency to Efferent Media that specializes in providing marketing services to hair restoration practices. I worked alongside our company's lead designer to design and develop the website and branding of this new agency within a short 2 week period.

Context

Hair restoration is becoming a booming business, with the industry estimated to grow 16.6% from 2024 to 2030 (Grand View Research).

In the competitive landscape of hair restoration, a compelling online presence is more than just a luxury - it's a necessity.

Our company, Efferent Media, saw untapped potential by targeting this growing industry. We decided to make a subsidiary company called Hair Loss Marketing that specifically addresses marketing for hair restoration clinics. By targeting our energy specifically into the hair transplant industry, we were able to become recognized experts in this field.

Problem

Hair restoration clinics are struggling to find effective marketing to find clients for their businesses. It a rapidly evolving field with hair restoration experiencing significant advancements in the recent years. As a result, the sector is not only expanding by also becoming increasingly competitive. This dynamic environment creates a pressing need for specialized marketing strategies that can effectively highlight the unique benefits and successes of individual clinics.

Goals

We identified an opportunity in specializing in marketing for hair restoration clinics. To gain their trust, we needed to demonstrate our expertise and prove we are reliable in this niche.

Research

Looking Into Our Past

To prove that we are experts in hair restoration marketing, we needed to find ways to show that we have industry knowledge. To do so, we looked back at our previous and existing hair restoration clients to see what pain points they've experienced and identified our past solutions.

We also reached out to our existing hair restoration clients to see what exactly they wanted out of a marketing agency. For quantitative data, we looked into trends in the conversion rates in their ads, landing pages, and more.

Analysis of Research

From our research, we found that the key factor in success in a hair restoration practice is the doctor themselves. Our most successful clients were those who had an outstanding reputation for not only being a great surgeon but also emphasized customer comfort and satisfaction. We found out this data by digging though patterns in attracting and obtaining qualified leads and conversion rates.

With this knowledge, we focused on two things:

  • Providing a plethora of valuable resources for doctors on how to better improve their business

  • Designing a custom CRM platform that specializes in communication between a hair restoration practice and their customers.

Solution #1

We decided to provide numerous free resources for our clients to demonstrate our expertise and commitment to their success, as well as to show that we genuinely care about their growth and are dedicated to helping them achieve their goals.

Solution #2

Emphasize our methodologies and practices as a business to show that we're serious about what we do.

Solution #3

I worked with the lead designer to develop a CRM platform designed specifically for hair restoration practices and their clients. This element was integral to achieving the project's objectives and enhancing the overall user experience.

Note: Although I cannot disclose specific images regarding this aspect due to confidentiality reasons. More information on this project can be found here.

Our Task

Once we, as a company, decided what type of information and pages to include in the website, the copywrite team worked to provide us with the copy for each page. It was the designer's task to interpret the copy and individually design each page.

Crunch Time

After the copywriting team was done with all the page copy, the lead designer and I were given the task of designing over 40 pages. We divided this task evenly with both of us working on a bit over 20 pages each. In addition the the large number of pages, we were tasked to finish all the page designs in a short 2 week period. Here is snippet of the pages that I worked on below!

Result

After a few late nights, the lead designer and I were not only able to develop a strong visual identity for Hair Loss Marketing but also market our company as a expert in such a niche field. We worked together (alongside the copywriters and developer) to design over 20 pages each for this website of exclusive content and service pages.

Reflections

Overall this was a fun project with a tight deadline of 2 weeks.

There were many things that I wanted to change or get rid of but it was important that I provide the client with what they want. Through this project, the lead designer and I successfully developed a systematic approach for managing and executing a multi-step project, ensuring effective organization and seamless progress throughout the development of this website.

Next Steps

If we were able to have more time for this project, I would've liked to explore a more effective way of providing our free resources to our clients. An alternative outcome would have been to minimize the various types of information we provide. Currently we have a 'blog' page, 'resources library' page, 'newsletter' page, 'downloads' page, and 'educational content' page. I would like to explore different methods of grouping all of these types of information so that there are less pages to visit to access this information.
